DESCRIPTION
Med Biosciences Liquid Amies Viral Transport Medium (LA-V™) has been specially formulated to support ongoing viral research and diagnostics.
Liquid Amies medium is a balanced salt solution formulated to maintain an osmotic balance like the natural on vivo condition of mammalian systems.
This medium is suitable for a wide-range of viral purposes, including viral collection, transport, maintenance, and culture.
Liquid Amies medium can be used for viral long-term freezer storage, molecular assays, rapid antigen testing, and direct fluorescent antibody (DVA) applications.
Liquid Amies is produced under highest manufacturing standards. It is formulated from highly pure molecular-grade chemicals in autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase-RNase-free deionized water.
Liquid Amies Medium is sterilized by autoclaving and filtration using 0.22 µm filter. It is a clear, colorless liquid and is negative for microbial growth after 48 hours at 37ᴼC.
Confirmed tests for the absence of DNase, RNase, and Protease activity.
Our Liquid Amies solution is provided in Sterile, DNase/RNase-free Medical Grade PET/PETG, transparent, and leak-proof bottles of different sizes (100, 250 mL, 500 mL, and 1000 mL)
COMPOSITION:
LA-VΤM is composed of 0.115% Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate (Na2HPO4), 0.02% Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate (KH2PO4), 0.3% Sodium Chloride (NaCl), 0.02% Potassium Chloride (KCl), 0.01% Calcium Chloride (CaCl2), 0.01% Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2), and 0.1% Sodium Thioglycolate (pH 7.3 ± 0.2).
