DESCRIPTION
The 10X Dunn Carbonate buffer is recommended for transferring basic proteins in Western blotting protocols. It may also increase the efficiency of electroblotting of large-size proteins.
The 10X Dunn Buffer is composed of 100 mM Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3), and 30 mM Sodium Carbonate (Na2CO3), pH 9.9 ± 0.1.
The final Concentrations in 1X solution: 10 mM NaHCO3, and 3 mM Na2CO3, pH 9.9 ± 0.1.
Methanol can be added to the buffer at a final concentration of 10-20%. This buffer may be used with or without the addition of SDS (0.01-0.1 %). Please see our 10% SDS and 20% SDS stock solution, sold separately.
Our buffer is formulated from Highly Pure Molecular-Grade Chemicals in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm Water.
The buffer is Sterile filtered through 0.22 µm membrane, and autoclaved.
The buffer is evaluated and certified for the absence of DNase, RNase, and protease activities.
