DESCRIPTION
Glycerol Tolerant Gel Buffer (GTG buffer, also known as TTE Glycerol Tolerant Buffer) is used for DNA electrophoresis to eliminate the band distortion associated with DNA samples in glycerol. It is used for running DNA sequencing gels, and compatible with different automated DNA sequencers.
Med Biosciences 20X concentrated GTG Buffer (TTE Glycerol Tolerant Buffer) is composed of highly pure molecular grade Tris-Taurine-EDTA (TTE) with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The final solution is filtered using a 0.2 µm filter into final sterile bottles.
The buffer solution is manufactured according to stringent quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. Our solution is certified sterile, DNase/RNase free, and protease free.
Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade 20X GTG Buffer is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.
To prepare 1X GTG working buffer, Dilute the 20X concentrated buffer 20-fold with ultrapure water (18 Mega Ω -cm resistivity at 25 ᴼC).
Available in different convenient sizes (250 mL 500 mL, and 1L sterile bottles). Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs.
COMPOSITION:
The 20X GTG Buffer is composed of 1.78 M Tris base, 0.57 M Taurine (C2H7NO3S), and 10 mM EDTA-Disodium Dihydrate (Na2EDTA.2H2O) in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water (pH 8.0 ± 0.1). The final solution is filtered through 0.2 µm filter into final sterile and DNase/RNase free bottles.
PACKAGING:
Available in 250 mL, 500 mL, and 1L bottles.
20X GTG Buffer is packaged in Sterile and RNase/DNase-free thick wall amber bottles that are classified for medical/food usage.

NOTES
Keep the solution in a tightly closed container, store in a cooled, dry, ventilated area. Avoid skin, eyes and clothing contact and inhalation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
If precipitation is present in the 20X concentrated buffer, warm the bottle to 37 á´¼C and mix until completely dissolved prior to dilution. The buffer may be autoclaved.
Each batch of our GTG buffers undergoes strict quality control and standard operating procedures to ensure the high quality of the final product, sterility, and lot-to-lot consistency. The Buffer Meets or exceeds functional test criteria for high quality gel electrophoresis with Sequenase DNA polymerase.
