DESCRIPTION

SDS Solution (20% w/v), Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate, is a detergent that is known to denature proteins. It is used in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for the determination of protein molecular weight. It is also used in nucleic acid extraction procedures for the disruption of cell walls and dissociation of nucleic acid-protein complexes.

Our 20% SDS solution is prepared from a molecular biology grade reagent [highly pure for molecular biology, DNase, RNase, and protease, none detected, ≥99%] with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The final solution is filtered using a 0.2 µm filter into final sterile bottles.

The solution is manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. Our solution is certified sterile, DNase/RNase free, and protease free.

Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade SDS solution is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.

Available in 3 convenient sizes (125 mL, 250 mL, and 500 mL bottles). Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs.

20% (W/V, 200g/L) aqueous solution is formulated from a molecular grade SDS [Molecular Weight: 288.38, Cas Number: 151-21-3 & 7732-18-5, highly pure for molecular biology, DNase, RNase, and protease, none detected, ≥99%] in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water. The solution is filtered through 0.2 µm filter into final sterile and DNase/RNase free bottles.

20% SDS solution is packaged in Sterile and RNase/DNase-free thick wall bottles that are classified for medical/food usage.
