DESCRIPTION
EDTA-Disodium Salt Dihydrate is an extensively used chelator of divalent cations such as Ca2+. EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a chelating agent, a general chemical, and a sequestrant. In molecular biology applications, it is used to minimize metal ion contaminants.
Med Biosciences EDTA solution is ideal for a wide range of molecular biology applications. The highly pure molecular grade reagent is prepared with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The pH is adjusted to 8.0 at 25 ᴼC, and the final solution is filtered using a 0.2 µm filter and filled into sterile bottles.
EDTA solution is manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency.
Our solution is sterile, DNase/RNase, and protease free.
Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade EDTA solution is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.
