1.0 M Calcium Chloride Solution – Molecular Biology Grade CaCl₂ Solution

DESCRIPTION

Calcium plays important roles in many biological processes, including signal transduction, muscle contraction, maintenance of cell membranes and cell wall stability. Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) solution is used as a source of calcium ions in the preparation of Competent Cells, in enzymatic reactions and cell culture media. Calcium chloride is used in bacterial transformation techniques. The addition of calcium chloride to a cell suspension promotes the binding of plasmid DNA to lipopolysaccharides (LPS).

Our 1.0 M Calcium Chloride solution is prepared from a molecular biology and cell culture grade reagent [highly pure CaCl₂.2H₂O for molecular biology and cell culture, DNase, RNase, and protease, none detected, ≥99%] with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The final solution is autoclaved then filtered using a 0.2 µm filter and filled into final sterile bottles.

1.0 M Calcium Chloride solution is manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. Our solution is certified sterile, DNase/RNase free, and protease free.

Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade Calcium Chloride solution is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.

Available in 3 convenient sizes (125 mL, 250 mL, and 500 mL bottles). Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs.

COMPOSITION:

1.0 M (147.01g/L) solution is formulated from a molecular grade Calcium Chloride Dihydrate [Molecular Weight: 147.01, Cas Number: 10035-04-8, highly pure for molecular biology/cell culture, DNase, RNase, and protease, none detected, ≥99%] in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water. Then, the solution is autoclaved and finally filtered through 0.2 µm filter into final sterile and DNase/RNase free bottles.

PACKAGING:

Available in 125 mL, 250 mL, and 500 mL bottles.

1.0 M Calcium Chloride solution is packaged in Sterile and RNase/DNase-free thick wall bottles that are made from medical/food-grade PET/PETG plastic materials.
