DESCRIPTION
The 10X concentrated Tris Buffered Saline (TBS) is a commonly used buffer in molecular biology research.
TBS buffer is often used in immunodetection techniques such as Western blotting and ELISA protocols.
The 10X TBS solution (Formula 1, F1) is composed of 250 mM Tris-HCl, 27 mM Potassium Chloride (KCl) and 1.37 M Sodium Chloride (NaCl) (pH7.4 ± 0.1, Cat. No. BTBS01-10X). The buffer is also available at pH 7.6 ± 0.1 (Cat. No. BTBS02-10X). Please see the composition to Formula 2 (F2) under the Cat. No. BTBS03-10X (pH 7.4) and the Cat. No. BTBS04-10X (pH 7.6).
To prepare a 1X solution, mix one volume of the 10X TBS solution with 9 volumes of ultrapure water. The final concentrations in 1X solution: 25 mM Tris-HCl, 2.7 mM Potassium Chloride (KCl) and 137 mM Sodium Chloride (NaCl) (pH7.4 ± 0.1, or pH 7.6 ± 0.1).
Our buffer is formulated from Highly Pure Molecular-Grade Chemicals in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm Water.
The buffer is sterile filtered through 0.22 µm membrane, and autoclaved.
The buffer is evaluated and certified for the absence of DNase, RNase, and protease.
