DESCRIPTION
The 10X Tris-Tricine-SDS (TT-SDS) Running Buffer is used with Tris-Tricine gel electrophoresis. Tris-Tricine gels are specifically designed for separating peptides and small proteins. In this buffer system, tricine substitutes glycine in the running buffer, resulting in more efficient stacking and de-stacking of low molecular weight proteins (1Kd to 40Kd) and higher resolution of smaller peptides.
Med Biosciences Tris-Tricine-SDS running buffer is compatible with both home-made and commercial precast Tris-Tricine gels such as Mini-PROTEAN® and midi Criterion™ gels from BioRad, Invitrogen Novex Tricine Gel from ThermoFisher Scientific, TEO Tricine Precast Gels from Abcam, and other commercially available Tris-Tricine precast gels.
The 10X concentrated TT-SDS buffer is composed of 1 M Tris-Base, 1 M Tricine, 1% SDS (pH 8.3 ± 0.2).
To prepare a 1X solution, Dilute 1 volume of the buffer with 9 volumes of deionized molecular grade water. The final concentrations in 1X solution: 100 mM Tris, 100 mM Tricine, 0.1% SDS, (pH 8.3 ± 0.2). It is recommended to check the pH of the solution after dilution.
Our buffer is formulated from Highly Pure Molecular-Grade Chemicals in Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm Water.
The buffer is Sterile, filtered through 0.22 µm membrane.
The buffer is evaluated and certified for being RNase/DNase and protease free.
