5X PBS – VTM (500 mL) Concentrated Phosphate Buffered Saline – Viral Transport Medium (With Antibiotics)

DESCRIPTION

Med Biosciences 5-fold (5X) concentrated PBS-VΤM (Phosphate Buffered Saline-Viral Transport Medium) provides an effective economical liquid solution that is suitable for the transport of samples suspected to contain virus.

The concentrated solution is available in 500 mL and 1000 mL bottles containing Sterile, DNase and RNase-free 5X concentrated Phosphate Buffered Saline, with Gentamicin Sulfate (250 mg/mL) and Amphotericin B (1.25 mg/mL).

We also provide the 10X Phosphate Buffered Saline without Gentamicin Sulfate and Amphotericin B (Please see under the Buffers Category: products Cat. No. BPBS74-10X-250ML, BPBS74-10X-500ML, and BPBS74-10X-1L)

5X PBS-VΤM is produced under highest manufacturing standards. It is formulated from highly pure molecular-grade chemicals in autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase-RNase-free deionized water.

The solution is sterilized by filtration using 0.22 µM filter cartridge.

5X PBS-VΤM is provided in economical 500 mL and 1000 mL Leak-Proof bottles allowing laboratories to dilute and aliquot in their own tubes.

Each batch of 5X PBS-VΤM product is extensively evaluated for efficacy, stability, sterility, and confirmed for being DNase and RNase free.

To use, dilute 1 volume of the 5X solution with 4 volumes of sterile DNase/Rnase-free deionized water. If needed, Adjust the pH to 7.4. Then, sterilize using 0.22µm filter.

COMPOSITION:

5X PBS-VΤM is composed of 0.685 M Sodium Chloride (NaCl), 13.5 mM Potassium Chloride (KCl), 50 mM Dibasic Sodium Phosphate (Na₂HPO₄), 9 mM Monobasic Potassium Phosphate (KH₂PO₄), 250 mg/mL Gentamicin Sulfate, and 1.25 mg/mL Amphotericin B (pH 7.4 ± 0.1).

PACKAGING:

5X PBS-VΤM solution is provided in economical 500 mL and 1000 mL bottles allowing laboratories to dilute aliquot in their own tubes.

Our thick wall bottles are leak-proof and made from Medical/Food grade PET and PETG.

Single, 2, 4, and 6 bottles packages are available.

Product is stable and shipped at room temperature. For extended shelf life, store at 2-8 ᴼC upon receiving.
