DESCRIPTION
Deionized (DI) water is free from dissolved minerals such as mineral salts, including iron, calcium, and sulfate. It is Type II water and differs from distilled water in terms of purification methods and composition.
Our DI water has an 18.2 mega Ω-cm resistivity (0.055 µS/cm conductivity). The water is prepared by reverse osmosis, passed through fine carbon, deionized through two resin beds, and sterilized by filtration through 0.22 µm filter. The water has also low endotoxin <0.025EU/ml, making it suitable for educational and research labs to obtain consistent and repetitive results. This water is ideal for the preparation of reagents, rinsing of glassware and plasticware, and various other laboratory and research applications. No toxic agents such as DEPC are included in the preparation of this water, eliminating interference with enzymatic analysis. Each lot of our DI Water is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for mineral salts, conductivity, total organic carbon, oxidizable substances and sterility.
