DESCRIPTION

Med Biosciences EasyHyb™ is a high-performance hybridization buffer system providing researchers with unprecedented simplicity, reliability, accuracy, and cost saving for hybridization. EasyHyb™ hybridization buffer is suitable for all types of probes. This buffer system can be used in both prehybridization and hybridization steps.

The hybridization protocol involves incubation of blots with denatured probes in EasyHyb™ hybridization buffer followed by washing of the blot to remove excess unhybridized probes. Easy-to-use, EasyHyb™ provides high resolution and sensitivity.

EasyHyb™ is a formamide-based solution for use in the pre-hybridization and hybridization of DNA or RNA probes to nucleic acids fixed on membranes. As a pre-hybridization solution, the buffer blocks sites on the membrane and prevents nonspecific binding of probes. As a hybridization solution, the buffer facilitates binding of probes to homologous RNA or DNA on a membrane.

Med Biosciences Ready-To-Use EasyHyb™ solution is composed of molecular biology grade 5X SSC (Saline-Sodium Citrate Hybridization Buffer, prepared from our 20X SSC Buffer Cat. No. SSC2001), 50 % Formamide 5X Denhardt’s Solution (Prepared from our 100X Denhardt’s Solution, Cat. No. DNHD003), 1% SDS, and 5 % Dextransulfate (Na-salt, MW 500,000) with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The final solution is filtered using a 0.22 µm filter into final sterile bottles. Note: it is recommended to add 100 µg/ml heat-denatured sheared non- homologous DNA (Salmon sperm DNA or yeast tRNA) to EasyHyb™ for the prehybridization step, but not to the hybridization step.

EasyHyb™ solution is manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. Our solution is certified sterile, DNase/RNase free, and protease free.

Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade EasyHyb™ solution is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.

Available in different convenient sizes (250 mL to 1L sterile bottles). Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs.

PACKAGING:

Available in 250 mL, 500 mL, and 1 L bottles.

EasyHyb™ is packaged in Sterile and RNase/DNase-free thick wall bottles that are classified for medical/food usage.
