DESCRIPTION
SM Phage Buffer is used in molecular biology lab for routine manipulation of phage suspensions. The gelatin in SM buffer stabilizes lambda phage particles during storage. We offer SM Phage Buffer with (Cat. No. SMPG01) and without (Cat. No. SMP02) Gelatin.
Med Biosciences SM Buffer is composed of molecular biology grade 100 mM Sodium Chloride (NaCl), 8 mM Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate (MgSO4·7H2O), 50 mM Tris-HCl with 0.01% (w/v) Gelatin (Cat. No. SMPG01) or without Gelatin (Cat. No. SMP02), pH 7.5 ± 0.1. The solution is prepared with Autoclaved 18.2 mega Ω-cm DNase/RNase-free Water to ensure utmost quality. The final solution is autoclaved then filtered using a 0.22 µm filter into final sterile bottles.
SM Buffer is manufactured according to strict quality control standards to ensure lot-to-lot consistency. Our solution is certified sterile, DNase/RNase free, and protease free.
Each lot of our Molecular Biology Grade SM buffer is subjected to rigorous quality control which involves checking for RNase activity, Exonuclease activity, Nonspecific Endonuclease activity, Nonspecific Protease activity, and Sterility.
SM buffer is available in two different sizes (100 mL and 250 mL sterile bottles). Customized solutions are available to meet individual needs.
